SBG announces Lamar Cowart as Regional Director

(Mobile) - The SBG Sox announced that Lamar Cowart has joined the company as the SBG Sox High School Showcase Director for Mobile/Florida Panhandle.

Cowart is originally from Mobile, graduating from Theodore High School before finishing his education at the University of South Alabama. He was the founder of the Baysox Baseball Academy in 2017, building teams with an emphasis on preparation and sportsmanship. He teaches the focus of developing critical personality traits including Academics, Communication and Community Service.

His high level baseball player development and preparation has help 44 players continue their careers in college, including Tucker Musgrove, a 2023 7th round draft pick by the San Diego Padres.

Cowart joins the SBG Sox Director team and works closely with Alabama Director Mark Fuller along with Chris Snopek and Larry Knight, the Mississippi Directors.
